HOBART EQUIPMENT, INSTALLED BY HOBART TECHNICIANS
When you order a Hobart dishwasher or glasswasher from us and select professional installation, the work is carried out by Hobart's own technicians.
We use Hobart exclusively for our contracted installation work, rather than independent installation companies. This means your equipment is supplied through an established Hobart Focus Partner and installed by Hobart, providing clear traceability, accountability and a consistent standard of service.
With 13+ years of experience supplying Hobart commercial dishwashers and glasswashers, we're familiar with the different machines, their installation requirements and the arrangements needed to get them up and running.
HOBART INSTALLATION PRICES & OPTIONS
Professional installation is available as an optional extra on our product listings, so you can see the cost and add it to your order when purchasing your machine.
There are two installation options:
- Installation only – Hobart installs your new machine at a prepared site.
- Installation with disconnection and removal – Hobart installs your new machine and disconnects and removes your existing equipment.
Both options are priced on the relevant product page, so there's no need to request a separate installation quotation.
Rack conveyor dishwashers are the exception, with installation costs quoted individually.
WHAT IS INCLUDED IN A STANDARD HOBART INSTALLATION?
Your Hobart installation includes:
- Connection to the existing electrical, water supply and drainage services.
- Power phase conversion, where required.
- Commissioning of your new Hobart dishwasher or glasswasher.
Standard installation is carried out during normal working hours, at a clear and prepared site, with the necessary services available within 1 metre of the machine's installation position.
If additional plumbing, electrical work or site alterations are needed to provide suitable services, these must be arranged and paid for by the customer before installation.
HOBART PRE-INSTALLATION SITE SURVEYS
A site survey is carried out before installation for most Hobart commercial dishwashers and glasswashers.
Ecomax and Ecomax Plus undercounter dishwashers and glasswashers are exempt from the pre-installation site survey requirement.
Where a survey is required, Hobart will assess the site and identify any additional work needed before installation can proceed.
Any necessary alterations will be advised following the survey and must be completed at the customer's expense before the installation date.
This helps avoid delays and ensures the site is ready when the Hobart technician arrives.
INSTALLATION FOR HOBART DISHWASHERS & GLASSWASHERS
We can arrange installation for machines across the Hobart Ecomax, Ecomax Plus, Profi and Premax ranges.
Hobart undercounter dishwashers – Compact commercial dishwashers for cafés, pubs, restaurants, village halls and catering facilities.
Hobart passthrough dishwashers – Hood-type dishwashers for busy kitchens and higher-volume washing requirements.
Hobart commercial glasswashers – Professional glasswashing equipment for pubs, bars, restaurants and hospitality venues.

CAN I INSTALL A HOBART DISHWASHER MYSELF?
Yes, you can self-install your Hobart dishwasher or glasswasher, provided the installation is carried out correctly and follows the manufacturer's instructions for your particular model.
Many customers purchasing a replacement machine already have suitable electrical, water and drainage connections in place and prefer to arrange installation themselves.
Self-installation does not, in itself, invalidate the manufacturer's warranty, provided the machine is installed in accordance with Hobart's instructions and warranty terms.
We recommend using a qualified electrician for any electrical alterations or phase conversion work.
If you're unsure about the installation requirements for your chosen model, we're happy to help you check the specifications before ordering.
WHAT SHOULD I CHECK BEFORE INSTALLATION?
Whether you're arranging installation through Hobart or installing the machine yourself, it's important to make sure the site is suitable.
Things to check include:
- Electrical supply: Is the correct single-phase or three-phase supply available, allowing for any phase conversion included in Hobart's installation service?
- Water supply: Are the water pressure, temperature and connections suitable?
- Drainage: Is a suitable drainage connection available?
- Space and access: Is there enough room to position, install and operate the machine?
- Water treatment: In hard water areas, we recommend choosing a machine with an integral water softener. Hobart can also connect an external water softener during installation for an additional charge.
- Existing equipment: Does an old machine need disconnecting and removing?
- Site preparation: Is the installation area clear and ready, with the necessary services within 1 metre?

WILL I NEED A SITE SURVEY BEFORE INSTALLATION?
A pre-installation site survey is required for most machines, except Ecomax and Ecomax Plus undercounter dishwashers and glasswashers.
WHAT IF MY SITE NEEDS ADDITIONAL WORK?
Any additional work identified during the site survey must be completed before installation and is the customer's responsibility, including the associated costs.
DO I HAVE TO USE HOBART FOR INSTALLATION?
No. Professional installation is entirely optional. You can purchase your machine for self-installation, provided it is installed correctly in accordance with the manufacturer's guidance and any applicable requirements.
WILL SELF-INSTALLATION AFFECT MY WARRANTY?
Self-installation does not automatically invalidate the manufacturer's warranty. The machine must be installed correctly in accordance with Hobart's instructions and applicable warranty conditions.
WHEN WILL MY MACHINE BE INSTALLED?
The standard lead time for a Hobart installation appointment is 7–10 working days from receipt of your order, provided the site is ready and any required preparation work has been completed.
Installations take place during normal working hours. Where a site survey is required, any additional work identified must be completed before installation can proceed.
Please ensure your site is fully prepared for the agreed appointment, as aborted installation charges may apply if Hobart is unable to complete the work due to site conditions.
